Connie West, '70 BS Education and '74 M.Ed., was promoted to principal of Harbor Ridge Middle School in Gig Harbor, Wash. She has been a middle school administrator in Gig Harbor for seven years. Previously, she spent 27 years working for the Clark County School District. She lives in Tacoma.

Barbara Finley, '71 BA Political Science, has been a justice of the peace in Reno since 1999. She earned her law degree from Old College in Reno in 1987 and was in private practice for several years.

Joel Driver III, '72 BS Management Information Systems, is a lawyer who has spent 30 years in the insurance business. He also is a real estate developer. He has three daughters and two granddaughters.

Cathie Gerlicher, '72 BS Education, received a doctoral degree in education from Oregon State University in 2002. She lives in Bellingham, Wash.

Douglas B. Smith, '73 BS Engineering, is a scientist, program manager, and applications and systems engineer with SAIC in Carlsbad, Calif.

Alice Kayuha, '74 AA Nursing, earned a master's degree in nursing administration from San Diego State University. She is the continuum administrator for the Marin/Sonoma and San Francisco service areas of Kaiser Permanente's Northern California region. She lives in Larkspur.

Kathryn Norris, '74 BS Math, owns Gunnison Mapping Services in Gunnison, Colo. She also works with a hospice, Habitat for Humanity, the Red Cross, and the Gunnison Arts Center.

Rosemary Treacy, '74 M.Ed., is a math teacher at Western High School. She previously taught at Bonanza High School. The mother of three and grandmother of nine volunteers for the Assistance League of Las Vegas.

Marc Hechter, '75 BA Political Science, '79 Master of Public Administration, and '02 M.Ed., teaches honors classes in government, economics, and world history at Palo Verde High School. He also is the women's head soccer coach and assists with the forensics team.

Earl Sheehy, '75 BS Hotel Administration, is president and CEO of Saunders County Health Services in Wahoo, Neb. Previously, he served as CEO of Mid-Dakota Hospital in Chamberlain, S.D. He is the father of three.

Tom Snavely, '75 BS Accounting, is a partner in the certified public accounting firm of Padden, Guerrini & Associates in Camp Hill, Pa. He obtained his certified fraud examiner designation in 2003. He lives in Lebanon.

Bruce Jackson, '76 BS Hotel Administration, is a pro shop attendant at the Las Vegas Golf Club.

Cary Stevens, '76 BS Biology and '82 MA Anthropology, completed a one-year recall to active duty in the U.S. Navy as officer-in-charge of the Pacific Shipping Coordination Center. Stevens' staff worked with the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies at the Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center in California.

Frank Carbone Jr., '78 BS Accounting, '79 MBA, and '84 BS Marketing, is first vice president of Wachovia Securities and is married with two children.

Ed Eckels, '79 BA Criminal Justice, is corporate vice president of human resources for Peccole Nevada. The retired police officer is a former director of security at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and the Rio and Showboat hotels. He is married and has two children and two grandchildren.

Susan M. Sheridan, '79 BS Secondary Education, is the executive assistant to the vice president of membership and community development at the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. She began working at the chamber in 1999 and received its Employee of the Year award in 2003 and its Citizen of Distinction award in 2004.
