Jim Pumphret, '70 MBA, retired in June after 45 years with the IRS. His final IRS job was as an international tax specialist. He plans to continue teaching as an associate professor at Austin Community College in Texas and to do consulting work for local accounting firms. He is a big fan of the city's music scene, serving as a volunteer stage manager at the annual SXSW Music Festival and as a volunteer crewmember for the Austin City Limits television show. He and his wife of 43 years, Judy, live in Austin.
Albert Ginchereau, '71 BS Hotel Administration, recently accepted the position of chairman of the business operations-casino concentration program at Gibbs College in Cranston, R.I. It is the only college in the state offering an associate degree in business operations with a casino concentration. He and his wife, Jean, live in Newport.
Nicholas Aharon Boggioni, '72 BA and '74 MA History, recently published his first novel, The Nativist's Daughter. A historian and lawyer, he describes the book as a provocative look at contemporary America, where 21st century politics are mired in religious fundamentalism. He earned an MBA at Claremont Graduate University in 1983 and a law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1994. He lives in Toledo, Ohio.
Jim Germain, '75 BS Hotel Administration, and his wife, Mary, bought the Castle Valley Inn Bed and Breakfast near Moab, Utah. In addition to running the inn, he has joined the local volunteer fire department.
Debra March, '78 BA Anthropology, began a four-year term as director-at-large on the American Planning Association's (APA) Board of Directors in June. The 13-member board sets association policy direction and strategic goals. The APA is a 39,000- member organization committed to promoting better communities through planning. March, who is executive director of UNLV's Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies, serves on the Henderson Planning Commission. She also is an executive committee member of the Las Vegas chapter of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the Southern Nevada chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
Ted DeCorte, '79 MA History, is the corporate support manager for Nevada Public Radio, KNPR 88.9 and KCNV 89.7. He and his wife, Christine, are corporate officers of DeCorte & Associates Inc., a financial and insurance marketing agency. He is owner of SmartWomenInvest.com, ChristineDeCorte. com, and EclecticBuzz. com. He also serves as president of the Clark County Association of Underwriters. He lives in Henderson.

John Frank Fagan Sr., '75 BA Political Science, died April 29. A lawyer and judge, he lived in The Dalles, Ore. He was active in the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association; served on the board of the Salvation Army; was a past president of the Mid-Columbia Bar Association; was a national director of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship; and was a member of Harvest Foursquare Church. He is survived by his wife, Eileen; sons, John Fagan Jr. and James Fagan; daughter, Shemia Fagan; stepsons, Nathan Wheeler and Seth Wheeler; stepdaughters, Laura Ruth, Colleen Meade, and Charleen Shaw; brother, Don Fagan; sisters, Rosemary Smead, Martie Fagan, and Billie Koogler; and seven grandchildren.
