Obie P. Amacker Jr., ’75 BS Business Administration, is director of the National Security Policy and Technology Division of the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He is past president of the International Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. He was elected a fellow of the institute in 1999 and received its meritorious service award in 2003. He and his wife, Judy, have been married 26 years and are avid boaters. They live in Richland, Wash.
Mark E. Ferrario, ’78 BS Accounting, is a partner in the renamed law firm of Kummer Kaempfer Bonner Renshaw & Ferrario. He serves as chairman of its litigation department. He has handled some of the state’s most highly publicized cases. He represented a major subcontractor in the MGM and Hilton hotel fires in the 1980s and was also part of the lead trial team in the $90 million lawsuit that resulted from the 1988 PEPCON chemical plant explosion in Henderson.
Ted DeCorte, ’79 MA History, is regional vice president of marketing and business development for Nevada Pacific Dental, which was recently purchased by Dental Benefit Providers. He is president-elect of the Clark County Association of Health Underwriters and a board member and treasurer of the Nevada Association of Health Underwriters. He also is an officer in the financial planning and insurance firm DeCorte & Associates, which is owned by his wife, Christine.
