Susan Thompson, ’70 M.Ed. in Secondary Education, has maintained a private practice in marriage and family therapy for 21 years. She also trains other therapists, serves as a management consultant, and presents seminars on practical spirituality, leadership and management training, and human relations skills/awareness. She also is a minister. Her awards include the 1989 Crystal Flame for humanitarianism from the Women’s Council of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and an award from the National Conference of Christians and Jews. Her hobbies include spiritual healing and service, gourmet food, planetary and universal consciousness, clairvoyance, concerts, singing in the Musical Arts Society chorus, and the Red Hat Society.
Steve Hockett, ’79 BS Hotel Administration, was elected president of the Club Managers Association of Southern California for the second time. He is only the second club general manager to serve as president twice. For the past 21 years, he has been the general manager of the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. He lives in Long Beach.
